Baker8 is a group of Long Island’s finest session musicians, who get together to recreate the music they have recorded over the last ten years. Once a week these fine musicians have been meeting to record the songs of Sean Baker and Phil Grande. Singer songwriter Sean Baker moved to NYC in the late 70s to play music. The son of a Ford Motor Company executive father and an Armenian American mother, Baker traveled the world, with extended stays in Greece, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Singapore. It was in these exotic locations Baker began his songwriting. In NYC Baker met Phil Grande, of Joe Cocker fame, and the two have been writing together ever since. Baker8 brings the unique flavor of those worlds to many of their songs.
